HeART for Children!
HeART for Children! is an annual project that creates a coloring book consisting of art made with love BY children, FOR hospitalized children. Inspired by Katherine’s 17-year-old cousin, Stella, who was diagnosed with B-Cell lymphoma, Katherine enlisted her peers at Westminster School and throughout the Atlanta community to donate line drawings complied in the coloring books. HeART has since created four volumes of books, and touched the lives of thousands of hospitalized children!
HeART for Seniors!
HeART for Seniors! was created in 2020 at the onset of the pandemic to brighten the lives of seniors living in isolation, separated from family and friends. Individual art creations were made and donated to senior living facilities across Atlanta. The art provided hope and joy for those that were not able to be with loved ones during those difficult times. HeART is passionate about continuing to give to our seniors in underserved communities and provide a little extra sunshine in their lives.
HeART Party!
Katherine Andrews partnered with Dorothy Verner in 2021 to create the HeART Party! program. HeART parties are hosted across the greater Metro Atlanta area to help create art in a fun, creative environment. Art from the parties is gathered and donated around the community to local hospitals, schools and senior living facilities in underserved communities. In 2023, they expanded the program with Lead Volunteers.
